WINDSOR, Colo. — Northern Colorado Rain FC announce that defender Mckenna Garrett will return to the club for the 2026 WPSL season.
Garrett, a Windsor native, made one start and was a key substitute for the Rain last season en route to their WPSL Rockies Division championship.
“Mckenna was a great addition for us last year – she works nonstop, always finding opportunities to train more,” Rain head coach Kelly Brown said. “She is an extremely versitile player that can play in multiple lines – she just wants to play. We love that about her. She will give you everything she has, every minute, every day.”
She made 14 appearances, four of them starts, this past fall during her sophomore season at Southern Illinois, helping the Salukis to a 10-6-3 overall record and a berth in the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament. She also recorded an assist in a 3-2 win over Northern Iowa.
Garrett said her experience last season made her keen to return to the Rain for 2026.
“I enjoyed playing for the team last summer,” Garrett said. “The coaches helped me build confidence and prepare for the fall college season.”
