WINDSOR, Colo. — Northern Colorado Rain FC announce that midfielder Mia Casey will join the squad for the 2025 season.
“I am so excited about joining Rain and getting to play with a lot of very talented like minded people. I’m looking forward to developing my skills on the field while also getting to play in a professional environment that will help prepare me for soccer after college,” Casey said.
Casey was a standout at Colorado State during her sophomore season, scoring seven goals and adding seven assists, earning First Team All-Mountain West honors.
She has started 36 times in her college career with the Rams and set a record for a CSU freshman with five goals in 2023, helping her to earn Second Team All-Mountain West honors.
This will also be a reunion for Casey and Rain head coach Kelly Brown, who said she is thrilled to work with her former player again.
“I’m so excited to coach Mia Casey again,” Brown said. “She was on my Regional ODP team years ago, so it’s kind of crazy how life can take you full circle. She is such a fun player to have in the midfield. She is a hard worker on both sides of the ball, she’s creative, she’s relentless, and she’s always striving to be the best. Not only will she match the competitive culture in the Rain, but I think she’s going to push it even higher.”
