WINDSOR, Colo. — Northern Colorado Rain FC announce that forward Nao Yamada will join the squad for the 2025 season.
A native of Kyoto, Japan, Yamada plays collegiately at Salt Lake Community College in Utah.
She scored eight goals for the Bruins in 2024, helping lead SLCC to the NJCAA semifinals under the tutelage of head coach, and former US Women’s National Team player, Amy LePeilbet.
“My college coach recommended the Rain as a really good place to play this summer,” Yamada said.
The second team All-Region performer will bolster the Rain’s front line for the upcoming WPSL season.
“Nao is a fantastic playmaker,” Rain head coach Kelly Brown said. “She’s dangerous with the ball at her feet and will look to create and build the attack for us. She’s got such a smooth style to her game, we are excited to see what she can do this summer.”
