WINDSOR, Colo. — Northern Colorado Rain FC will be welcoming back assistant coaches Josh Dworsky, Lisa-Marie Woods, Matt Vance, and Lexi Rudolph to the coaching staff for the 2026 WPSL season.
All four were members of the staff on Rain’s 2025 WPSL Rockies Division Champions.
Also an assistant coach at Regis University in Denver, Dworsky is returning for his third season with the Rain. He is also an ODP coach at both the state and regional levels.
“Josh has grown into quiet coach over the past two years,” Rain head coach Kelly Brown said. “Two years ago he was just soaking it all in, but now he is going to make a massive impact as a coach. He does a great job with the activation, fitness, and strength but he will have a much bigger voice this year. He has a knack for identifiyng small things in a program that need attention and executing. He is creative, hard working, and is constantly putting himself in environments that will make him a better coach. I am so glad he’s back for year three.”
A UEFA A License holder and former head coach of USL W League side Asheville City SC, as well as a former assistant at Creighton University, Woods will also be in her third season with the Rain in 2026.
“I knew Woodsy would be an absolute blast to work with the second we connected on the phone three years ago,” Brown said. “Not only was she an unbelieveable player, she is one of the smartest coaches I have worked with in my coaching career. She brings with her professional playing experience, collegiate coaching experience, and so much advice for our aspiring professionals – like how to pick an agent, what to include in contracts, and how to navigate the collegiate to professional landscape. She is a tremendous part of this club and I am glad she will be with us for another year.”
Also making his return for a third season with the Rain, Vannice holds his USSF B License and has coach at the ODP state level.
“Matt has been with me from day one and has helped me put my hopes and dreams for this club into a reality,” Brown said. “He has the biggest heart and brings a wealth of knowledge from a tactical perspective. The guy can pinpoint the smallest part of a player’s game, coach it, and the player makes tremendous strides. He challenges the players and is all in. He is the first coach to say yes to small group and private training for our players that are looking for a little bit more. We are very lucky to have him on our sideline. I am excited he will be back for another year.”
The newest member of the staff, Rudolph will be in her second season coaching the Rain goalkeepers. She is a former college head coach and ODP State Goalkeeper Director.
“Lexi is the newest member of the coaching staff, joining our sideline last year.,” Brown said. “She will be working with our goalkeepers primarily so we can give them focused, position-specific attention as they are home training in preparation for their college environments. She cares about the whole player and is a huge advocate for our goalkeepers. Her personality, professionalism, and humble nature has been a perfect fit for our coaching staff. Our goalkeepers, back line and anyone else she coaches are lucky to have her.”
Brown and her staff will be looking for another successful season in NoCo, and to defend their 2025 WPSL Rockies division title. The season kicks off on May 28.
