WINDSOR, Colo. — Northern Colorado Rain FC announce that defender Maddie Burr will return to the squad for the 2025 season.
“Maddie Burr is a force in our back line,” Rain head coach Kelly Brown said. “She is young and has already proven to be a very special player not only with us but at the collegiate level as well. I am looking forward to having her back in a Rain jersey.”
Burr started three times for the Rain last season, making five appearances in total in the Rain defense.
She played her freshman season at Wyoming in the fall of 2024, playing 18 times and making 17 starts for the Cowgirls. She had three assists during the campaign and scored her first collegiate goal against Colorado College.
Burr played her high school soccer at Poudre High School in Fort Collins, where she was named honorable mention All-State during her senior year. She was also an ECNL national finalist in 2022.
She said she is looking forward to returning to the Rain for 2025.
“I love the competitive atmosphere and the opportunity to play alongside my hometown friends,” Burr said. “I’m most excited to compete for a championship and spend the summer with such a great soccer community.”
