WINDSOR, Colo. — Northern Colorado Rain FC announce that goalkeeper Olivia Dietrich will join the roster for the upcoming 2025 WPSL season.
Dietrich trained with the Rain in the summer of 2024, but did not see any game action.
“Olivia started on our reserves team last year and eventually joined the full team late in the summer,” Rain head coach Kelly Brown said. “She has continued to impress the coaching staff with her fantastic attitude, her team-first mentality, and her desire to wear a Rain jersey. She’s a great goalkeeper and we are excited to have her back this year with us.”
Dietrich played her sophomore season at the University of Houston in 2024, starting nine games and keeping a pair of clean sheets. Her starts accounted for 75 percent of the Cougars’ wins in 2024. She started 16 games for Houston in 2023, recording seven wins and two clean sheets. She was also named to the Big 12 All-Academic team in 2023.
Prior to her college career, she was the Colorado 4A Player of the Year as she helped Holy Family win their first-ever state championship in 2021.
She said she is excited to return to the Rain in 2025.
“I am so excited to join the Rain again this year because the team fosters an incredible, hard-working culture with a winning mentality, and the coaching staff truly focuses on the development of every individual,” Dietrich said.
