Northern Colorado Rain FC announce that forward Skylar Haase, the club’s leading scorer in 2024, will return for the 2025 season.
Haase scored eight goals for the Rain last season, including a 70th minute equalizer in a 2-2 draw with national runner-up Colorado Storm and a hat trick in Rain’s first-ever home match.
“I love the culture,” Haase said. “The players all have amazing work ethic and I enjoy the strong competitive environment. It’s all about being a family which is important to me, and the community is amazing and so supportive. It is great to play near my hometown with the wonderful support of my family and friends.”
In the fall, Haase played her sophomore season at Texas Tech, becoming one of the breakout stars for the Red Raiders this season. She played in 21 of the Red Raiders’ 22 games in 2024, scoring five times including Tech’s second goal in a 2-1 win over LSU in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
“We are very excited to have Skylar return,” Rain head coach Kelly Brown said. “She’s coming off a standout season at Texas Tech where she scored some big time goals. Skylar trains hard and is a huge part of the Rain culture”
The Fort Collins native will once again spend the summer in NoCo, helping to lead the Rain in their first WPSL season.
