WINDSOR, Colo. — Northern Colorado Rain FC announce that defender Karlee Maes has joined the club for the 2024 season.
Maes was a standout at the University of New Mexico throughout her college career, being named to the all-Mountain West First Team three times.
She also won three regular season conference championships with the Lobos as well as one tournament title in 2021.
“Karlee’s great in the back, she’s going to be a rock in our back line. She’ll be good in the air, she’s got it all,” Rain FC head coach Kelly Brown said.
Maes was certainly a rock in the New Mexico back line, finishing her career in eighth in program history with 82 matches played and ninth in minutes played with 6,675.
She said she is looking forward to continuing her playing career with the Rain.
“I am most excited about getting to play with other high level athletes and continuing to grow as a player,” Maes said.
