WINDSOR, Colo. — Northern Colorado Rain FC announce that defender Fiona Jenkins will join the club for its inaugural 2024 season.
Jenkins played her freshman season at the University of New Mexico in 2023, starting 14 of the Lobos’ 17 games and helping them earn four clean sheets. She was second on the team in minutes played.
“She’s a fullback that you’ll rarely see in the back,” Rain FC head coach Kelly Brown said. “She likes to get forward and she’ll be a threat in all thirds of the field.”
A Fort Collins native, Jenkins played at Rocky Mountain High School, though most of her pre-collegiate accolades came on the club side of things with Real Colorado.
She helped Real Colorado to the 2022 ECNL national championship and was the State Cup MVP that same year. She said she is excited to play in her home state again this summer with the Rain.
“I think it’s really exciting to be a part of a brand new team and play with a diverse group of girls with different soccer backgrounds,” Jenkins said.
