WINDSOR, Colo. — Northern Colorado Rain FC announces the addition of midfielder Bella Amyx to the roster for the 2024 season.
Amyx, a California native, has played professionally in both Switzerland and Mexico at Lugano and Atlas FC.
She appeared in the UEFA Women’s Champions League for Lugano against Manchester City in 2019 and was the first international player to play for the women’s team at Atlas.
“She’s going to bring a level of maturity, confidence, and creativity to the midfield,” Rain head coach Kelly Brown said. “She’s going to lead our young players and really set a professional standard within out club.”
Prior to her professional career, Amyx was a standout at Sonoma State University. During her senior season in 2018 she was a team captain and the team’s offensive MVP, scoring three goals and adding two assists as the Seawolves earned a berth in the NCAA Division II Tournament.
She said that joining the Rain will allow her to continue to pursue her goals both on and off the pitch.
“I wanted to play for Rain to continue playing a high level of soccer while pursuing a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering at Colorado State,” Amyx said.
