WINDSOR, Colo. — There will be a sister act in the Northern Colorado Rain FC midfield as both Kiley and Abby Ballek have committed to the club for the 2024 season.
Kiley played her freshman season at Wyoming in 2023, playing 17 times and making five starts. She recorded her fist collegiate assist in a 2-0 win over Northern Colorado in September.
“We are looking for Kiley to control our midfield,” Rain FC head coach Kelly Brown said. “She’s extremely technical and loves to look for seams in the opponent to play her teammates in.”
Abby has committed to play at Wisconsin after finishing her high school career at Fossil Ridge High School in Fort Collins, where she has been a two-time All-State honorable mention selection.
“Abby is our youngest player but plays beyond her years,” Brown said. “She is strong, can turn both directions, and loves the ball at her feet.”
Both Ballek sisters said they are excited to be joining the Rain for the 2024 season.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to continue to grow as a player and person,” Kiley said. “Coach Kelly Brown’s vision for the team is exactly what I want to be a part of. I’m excited to play for her and Northern Colorado.”
Her sister agreed.
“I am incredibly honored to be able to join NoCo Rain,” Abby said. “The opportunity to grow as a player, learn from my teammates and coaches, and contribute to our team’s success in a professional environment that is so close to home makes it even more special.”
