WINDSOR, Colo. — Northern Colorado Rain FC announces the addition of forward Skylar Haase to the roster for the 2024 season.
Haase completed her freshman season at Texas Tech University in 2023 and was part of a Red Raiders team that won the regular season title in the Big 12 and advanced to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament, finishing No. 9 in the final national poll of the season.
Prior to her time at Texas Tech, Haase was a four-year All-Conference selection at Rocky Mountain High School in Fort Collins, where she helped the Lobos reach the Class 5A quarterfinals and was the team’s leading scorer in two different seasons.
I have known Skylar for a long time and have watched her grow from a youth player, to a collegiate player, and now will be able to coach her at a pre-professional level,” Rain FC head coach Kelly Brown said. “She’s hungry to score goals and will absolutely do that on this stage.”
Haase is excited to play close to home with the Rain in the club’s inaugural season.
“To be a part of the inaugural season and my home community and represent Northern Colorado is a dream come true,” Haase said. “I always look for ways to play during my off season and surround myself with talented players and coaches and this was a great opportunity to do so.”
