WINDSOR, Colo. — Northern Colorado Rain FC announces the addition of midfielder Sabrina Weinman to the squad for the club’s inaugural season in 2024.
Weinman played her college soccer at San Jose State where she scored 12 times and added five assists in her career. She was named to the All-Mountain West First Team in 2023 after scoring five goals and tallying two assists in 18 games for the Spartans.
“I was excited to get Sabrina in the squad. She has big aspirations to play professional soccer, but she needed an environment to prepare for the next level,” Rain head coach Kelly Brown said. “She is so smooth and brave on the ball. You can’t take your eyes off her.”
This will be Weinman’s second season in the USL W League as she helped San Francisco Glens SC to a W League semifinal appearance in 2023.
In addition to her standout performances on the pitch, Weinman was a four-time Academic All-Mountain West selection for San Jose State. She said she is excited to join the Rain for the 2024 season.
“I decided to play for Rain FC because I think Kelly is doing an amazing job at creating an atmosphere that feels professional and fun to be a part of,” Weinman said.
