WINDSOR, Colo. — Northern Colorado Rain FC announce that defender Maddie Burr will return to the club for the 2026 season.
This will be Burr’s third season with the Rain. She played five times for the Rain in 2024, making three starts, before making six starts for the club in 2025 and earning All-Rockies Division honors.
“Maddie has grown into such a mature and confident player since the first time I saw her play,” Rain head coach Kelly Brown said. “She is a player you can always count on to bring her best on and off the field.”
In the fall of 2025, she played her sophomore season at Wyoming, starting all 19 games for the Cowgirls and playing 1,480 minutes. She also added an assist from the back line in a win over Nevada in October.
She said she is looking forward to her third season with the Rain and defending their WPSL Rockies Division championship.
“I love the girls on the team and I am excited to represent my hometown for another summer,” Burr said.
